Sam Jeffree

Sam is proving to be an ambitious and talented rider. At only 14 years of age he is very busy competing in Interschool competitions, Pony Club of Victoria (PCAV) rallies and horse trials and Equestrian Australia (EA) open eventing competitions as well.

During 2012 Sam chalked up lots of impressive results on his horse Parklands Whizz Kid, including winning not one but two PCAV Zone horse Trials, on a horse that had not previously evented and that Sam has now trained to Pre-Novice level. We also welcomed Mighty Midget to the team in the middle of the year, and his education is now well underway having also reached Pre-Novice level.

At the end of 2012 Sam was also recognised for his achievements and contribution to the sport when he was awarded the Haileybury Equestrian Boys Trophy for excellence in Equestrian and outstanding contribution to the team, as well as the Macclesfield Pony Club Joanne Legg Memorial Trophy for the best and fairest club member who both represents the club at a high level of competition, and also actively contributes back to the club.

Sam has now competed at PCAV State Championships Horse Trials every year from the age of becoming eligible. Parklands Whizz Kid has the added accolade this year of qualifying for PCAV State titles in both Showjumping and Horse Trials. 2013 is shaping up to be another great year for Sam, with the recent announcement of his acceptance on to the Young Rider Event Squad boding well.
